Low Bass Fun
More interesting fun from the book of faces… This guy has been working to turn data sets like weather into low-frequency stuff.
From the video from Beat Kitchen School:
The real story behind this was our Weekly Beat Challenge. The object of the game is to post two song ideas every week, rain or shine. As long as you made it yourself, anything counts. For example, I hadn’t met my quota this week but I was working on a weather sonification idea. (Technically, I guess it’s not sonification because, the way I see it, weather meets the definition of sound… but anyhoo…) So I posted it. Then yesterday in our weekly get together, @ailemartini suggested a Massive Attack treatment which gave me the idea for a submission number two!
If anyone wants the raw sound or data files (I made a ton of them with different cities) leave a comment and I’ll figure out a way to share it. I’d be curious to see what you come up with!
use this with git client to download his data and some programs
