Symbolism of the logo

Thank you to Amy Lunde for creating the new logo for this website. It’s a personal logo that I created some 20 years ago. There is a bunch of symbolism inherent in it.

In the Western Magickal Tradition, the red triangle symbolizes fire and the blue one symbolizes water. Blending Fire and Water is impossible, but it’s what alchemists strive towards.

There are 22 rays. 22 has various correspondences, for example there are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet and 22 cards in the Major Arcana of the tarot.

The symbol in the middle is Sagittarius, my astrological Sun sign.

Further synbolism: the triangles make what is called a hexagram, which most folks recognize as the Jewish “star of David”. the points and center correspond to the 7 “planets” with the sun at the center. Aleister Crowley had his own take on this which he called a “unicursal hexagram” (my pendant) because it can be drawn in a continuous motion
